Where to stay near the Majorelle Garden

The famous blue garden, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and a calm riad about 4 km away: how to plan your days around Majorelle.

Created by the painter Jacques Majorelle and later saved by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the Majorelle Garden is one of the most visited places in Marrakech: cactus and bamboo, fountains, and the intense blue that now bears the painter’s name. Next to it stands the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, devoted to the couturier who loved this city.

Staying close, but in calm

Riad Dar Razallah is about 4 km from the Majorelle Garden, in a quiet residential street of Marrakech (40080). You are close to the garden and the city, yet each evening you come back to a peaceful riad of five suites, with a rooftop pool and a hammam.

Practical tips for your visit

  • Go early in the morning, when the garden opens, to avoid the crowds.
  • Book your tickets online in advance, especially in high season.
  • Combine the garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in the same morning.
  • Free parking at the riad, and an airport shuttle can be arranged on request.

Back at the riad

After the blue of Majorelle, the green of the riad: a planted patio with zellige floors, a glass of mint tea, and the quiet of a house that has only five suites.
